I'm Andrew - your Life Celebration Celebrant
Hello. I'm the Cherished Heart Celebrant - your helping hand.
Shall we begin with the formal bits - I’m a diploma-qualified Celebrant and a proud member of the Association of Independent Celebrants (AOIC).
Now for the stuff you also want to hear about...who am I?
Before becoming a Celebrant, I was a public speaker and podcaster, a writer and author, wellbeing tutor, volunteer with the Samaritans and a trainer. What’s important about all those roles is the experience they provided and the impact they had on me: Each one of them connected me with people and made me realise that for me, that connection is what’s most important.
Once I understood the significance of this, I began looking for the deepest and most meaningful way to make that connection and provide support in a way that would make the biggest difference. Working as a Life Celebration Celebrant helps me do this.
Being trusted by people during what is often the most difficult and emotional time of their lives is a genuine privilege, and something that I feel honoured and grateful to be able to do.
When I’m not being a celebrant, I’m a husband, a dad, a neighbour and a friend. I love music (can’t play a note unfortunately, and my singing is best heard on mute), I also love movies, books, the gym and chocolate (hence the gym).
I have two dogs, so all-weather dog walking is on my daily list of must-dos. And I’ve recently been bitten by the travel bug - slowly working my way across as many Greek islands as I can.
As a person, I’ve been described as warm, compassionate, open and friendly. I’m a former Samaritan too, so empathy and understanding comes naturally. Oh, and I like to think that my gentle sense of humour helps me bring a natural and human touch to every life-celebration I help to create.
